Associate Attorney General Practice

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its New York, NY office, providing broad in-house–style legal support across diverse matters in a collaborative team setting.

Duties

• Deliver general-counsel style advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters

• Draft, review, and manage a variety of contracts, policies, and internal guidelines

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on emerging issues and industry developments

• Assist with compliance initiatives, risk assessments, and training materials

• Support transactional work, including due diligence and closing documentation

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategic projects and client deliverables

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of post-bar experience in a law firm or in-house environment

• Demonstrated ability to handle a mix of transactional, advisory, and regulatory tasks

• Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for balancing multiple priorities

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities

• Proven communication skills, both written and oral, with internal stakeholders

Education

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active admission to the New York State Bar
