General Liability Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with a strong background in general liability defense. The ideal candidate will have expertise in defending businesses and property owners in premises liability, construction defects, product defects, and NY Labor Law cases.

Location:

Duties:

• Prepare written reports for clients and insurance companies summarizing relevant facts and providing outcome-oriented analyses, including case valuations
• Draft written motions and legal memoranda
• Represent clients in court appearances, including handling discovery conferences and oral arguments
• Conduct depositions and compile reports on significant testimony
• Prepare cases for trial
• Maintain professional, succinct, and responsive communication with clients

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of defense in premises liability, construction defect, product defect, and NY Labor Law cases
• Relevant litigation experience

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York Bar is required
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus
