Job Title: Trial Attorney - Premises Liability

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Little Rock, AR, is seeking a seasoned Trial Attorney to handle a robust docket of premises liability matters. The role entails full-cycle litigation responsibilities, from case intake through resolution, including trial work. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed litigator with a proven record of courtroom advocacy, client engagement, and strategic litigation skills. This position offers a dynamic environment with meaningful support and innovative legal resources, ideal for attorneys driven to achieve results in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation.

Duties:

  • Manage an active caseload of approximately 150 cases, with at least 50 in litigation at any given time

  • Represent clients from initial consultation through settlement or jury verdict

  • Conduct depositions, draft and respond to motions, and lead mediations

  • Develop litigation strategies and prepare for all phases of trial

  • Serve as lead trial attorney in multiple jury trials annually

  • Maintain frequent, clear communication with clients throughout their legal matters

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation (5-8 years preferred)

  • Demonstrated history as first chair in a minimum of 5 jury trials (10+ preferred)

  • Admission to the Arkansas State Bar and in good standing

  • Additional state bar admissions are considered a plus

  • Strong working knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Rules of Evidence

  • Commitment to taking cases to trial when necessary

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Arkansas

  • Additional legal certifications or Bar admissions are advantageous

Skills:

  • Exceptional litigation and trial advocacy skills

  • Effective communicator with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel

  • Ability to independently manage large caseloads under tight deadlines

  • Collaborative team player with strong ethical judgment

  • Proficiency with litigation tools and familiarity with legal tech platforms
