Job Title: Mid-Level Associate Attorney - Litigation

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Austin, TX, is seeking a seasoned litigation associate to join its complex litigation team, with a particular focus on product liability matters involving pharmaceutical and medical device clients. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in legal writing, Daubert and Rule 702 motion practice, and will play a key role in supporting trial teams from early discovery through strategic development and resolution.

Duties:

  • Draft and respond to complex motions, including those under Rule 702 and Daubert

  • Collaborate with expert witnesses in scientific and technical disciplines

  • Oversee junior legal staff and contribute to mentorship and review

  • Develop case strategies in high-stakes product liability litigation

  • Conduct depositions, manage discovery, and coordinate with co-counsel

  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding case progress and developments

  • Research and synthesize complex legal and technical topics

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of litigation experience, preferably with exposure to product liability defense

  • Prior experience handling Daubert and Rule 702 motion practice

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device sectors preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in complex legal writing and oral advocacy

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Strong academic performance and legal research background

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Texas

  • Additional bar admissions (e.g., New York) considered a plus

Skills:

  • Superior legal research, analytical, and writing skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management capabilities

  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and advocate effectively

  • Strong judgment and ability to balance multiple priorities

  • Leadership and team management experience preferred

  • Proficiency with legal research tools and litigation technology platforms
