A law firm seeks a Senior Attorney in Portland, ME to provide comprehensive legal services and support the development of other attorneys. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in state and local administrative and regulatory litigation, energy transactions, and project development.

Duties

  • Research complex legal matters and provide sound advice.
  • Author high-quality written materials to support client needs.
  • Represent clients in various forums, including court appearances and administrative procedures.
  • Collaborate with fellow attorneys and staff members.
  • Mentor and support the training of other attorneys.
  • Assign support work to associate attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
  • Present educational materials on the latest developments in their area of expertise.
  • Accurately account for time spent supporting clients and the firm.
  • Operate with autonomy and treat others with courtesy and respect.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Maine Bar admission or ability to acquire it.
  • Demonstrated mastery of legal skills.
  • Ability to lead teams with a combination of leadership skills and expertise.
