Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Brookhaven, GA, is seeking a highly motivated legal professional to support an internal legal services division focused on labor and employment matters. This full-time in-house role provides hands-on experience in litigation support, compliance, internal investigations, and legal advisory for various business operations. The selected candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across departments to proactively address risk, ensure compliance, and deliver training on employment-related topics.

Duties:

  • Draft formal responses to government agency inquiries and allegations

  • Manage requests for information from investigative bodies

  • Lead internal reviews related to employee complaints or policy violations

  • Prepare witnesses and participate in fact-finding conferences

  • Represent the organization during mediations and settlement negotiations

  • Address legal threats and manage pre-litigation matters

  • Recommend mitigation strategies for employment-related legal risks

  • Conduct and present legal training sessions to managers and staff

  • Collaborate closely with external legal advisors

  • Provide real-time guidance to HR and field staff on employment regulations

  • Support cross-functional legal initiatives and business projects

  • Travel occasionally for mediations, court conferences, and internal meetings

  • Assist with other duties tied to the employment law function as needed

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of relevant experience practicing labor and employment law preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal issues independently

  • Experience with government agency communications, dispute resolution, or litigation strategy is advantageous

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
