Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel associate attorney to join its Technology Transactions and Privacy practice in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in relevant areas and a strong academic background.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate licensing and technology agreements.
  • Advise on intellectual property issues.
  • Support M&A and financing transactions.
  • Assist with transactions involving new technologies such as AI and blockchain.
  • Advise start-ups and emerging companies on development, manufacturing, and product launch issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working at an AmLaw 50 law firm.
  • Subject matter expertise in enterprise software, cloud services, outsourcing, AI, blockchain, financial technologies, and related areas.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to advise on complex legal issues.
  • Proficiency in handling technology-related transactions.
