Job Overview:
A prominent Boston-based law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate to join its litigation team. The ideal candidate will be eager to develop an active trial practice and handle a diverse caseload with significant client interaction. This opportunity involves working on complex commercial litigation or employment law matters in both state and federal courts.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation matters, including complex commercial litigation and employment law.

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.

  • Appear in Massachusetts state and federal courts for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.

  • Collaborate with clients, experts, and colleagues to develop case strategies.

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients, ensuring thorough and effective communication.

  • Support the development of an active trial practice in civil litigation.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular contact and case management.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on complex commercial litigation or employment law preferred.

  • Excellent writing, research, and interpersonal skills.

  • Outstanding academic credentials.

  • Experience practicing in Massachusetts state and federal courts.

  • Desire to develop an active trial practice and manage a diverse caseload.

  • Ability to interact with clients and manage significant client relationships.

  • Admission to practice in Massachusetts.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in civil litigation, with experience in commercial and employment law matters.

  • Excellent writing and legal research abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.

  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload with significant client interaction.

  • Trial preparation and courtroom experience preferred.
