Job Overview:
A growing law firm with a statewide presence in Georgia is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with a focus on eminent domain to join its team. This role is ideal for a candidate with 3–5 years of litigation experience who is passionate about representing property owners in complex real estate matters. The position offers a hybrid work environment and involves both courtroom litigation and negotiations. Candidates will work closely with clients, appraisers, and legal staff to secure favorable outcomes in condemnation and property acquisition cases.

Location:

  • Atlanta, Georgia

Duties:

  • Evaluate and analyze eminent domain claims, including appraisal reports and project plans

  • Represent clients in court proceedings and mediations related to property takings

  • Negotiate case resolutions post-litigation filing

  • Supervise a dedicated paralegal and oversee case workflow

  • Communicate with clients to explain legal rights, options, and strategy

  • Advise potential clients on the benefits of legal representation in condemnation matters

  • Prepare legal documents including motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements

  • Develop and execute litigation strategies tailored to each case

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of litigation experience (eminent domain or civil litigation preferred)

  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia

  • Demonstrated trial and negotiation experience

  • Strong interest or background in eminent domain or property law

  • Ability to manage a caseload and work independently

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills
