Associate Attorney needed for Los Angeles office

Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks an Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. The ideal candidate will be crucial in managing cases from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and providing strategic counsel to clients. Additionally, they will contribute their legal expertise in identifying and addressing areas of consumer deception.

Duties:

• Manage cases from start to finish, including drafting complaints, scheduling, discovery, correspondence with opposing counsel, hearings, and motion practice.
• Identify and rectify areas of consumer deception through thorough legal analysis and strategic planning.
• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in various litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and ensure case objectives are met.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of California.
• Possess a J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Demonstrated experience in litigation, including drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and representing clients in court proceedings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of California civil procedure and relevant statutes.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
