Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Counsel to join their Denver, CO office. The successful candidate will focus on environmental litigation and general litigation in state and federal courts, playing a crucial role in advocating for clients' rights and delivering exceptional legal services.

Duties

  • Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and handling depositions.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and complex motions.
  • Conduct legal research and make court appearances as necessary.
  • Participate in case strategy discussions and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law.
  • 10+ years of experience in complex litigation.
  • Experience in environmental or toxic torts preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with E-Discovery and law programs.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law.
