Job Title: Litigation Of Counsel

Job Overview: A law firm in Reston, VA, is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with substantial experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm, focusing on product liability and/or complex commercial litigation. A science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) is required for consideration. The role demands superior research, analytical, and writing skills and experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills are essential for success.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence promptly and efficiently.
• Provide timely, accurate, and high-quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform assigned duties.
• Foster positive work relationships within the firm and with external partners.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities as required, including extended computer work, digital/virtual conference calls, and meetings.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• J.D. degree from a nationally recognized school.
• 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• VA Bar admission.
• Direct and applicable experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm.
• Science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology).
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Experience with product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• Immediate transferable skills and a strong academic background are preferred.
