A law firm is seeking an Immigration Attorney to join their team in Baltimore, MD. Here's a detailed job description:

Job Overview: The Immigration Attorney will be responsible for providing legal representation to clients in immigration matters, ensuring compliance with immigration laws and regulations, and advocating for clients' rights and interests throughout the immigration process.

Job Duties:

  • Meet with potential new clients to assess their immigration needs and provide legal advice.
  • Coordinate case and legal strategy to achieve optimal outcomes for clients
  • Manage multiple instances, paralegals, projects, and deadlines effectively
  • Train and supervise staff to ensure quality legal services are provided
  • Prepare and revise court documents, including motions, briefs, and memoranda
  • Conduct legal research to support case arguments and strategies
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and judicial case law relevant to immigration law
  • Market the law firm's immigration services to attract new clients
  • Work one Saturday a month with potential bonuses for new clients signed during those days
  • Cross-sell various other practices within the law firm to maximize client satisfaction and revenue
  • Handle court hearings and trials, representing clients in immigration proceedings
  • Become an expert in various immigration matters, including Family Petitions, Asylum, Individual Hearings, SIJIS, U-Visas, and Waivers.

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School
  • Active Bar License in Good Standing from any US State or PR
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Minimum of 1+ year of Immigration experience
