Duties

  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial participation.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
  • Assist in the management and strategy of complex litigation matters.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, providing guidance and managing expectations.
  • Work closely with the senior partner on significant cases, while independently handling routine to moderately complex matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare high-quality written legal documents.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of litigation experience, ideally with exposure to construction or commercial litigation.
  • Trial preparation or trial experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially client-facing communication.
  • Ability to conduct detailed legal research and produce clear, well-written legal documents.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Florida Bar.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
