Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Litigation Attorney with 3-8 years of experience to join their New York office. This position is ideal for an attorney with a background in defending construction, NY Labor Law, and premises liability matters. The role involves comprehensive case management, including pleadings, discovery, court appearances, motions, mediations, and client reporting. The candidate will also have opportunities to develop strong client relationships and actively market the firm to new clients. Travel opportunities may be available.

Location:

Duties:

• Defend construction, NY Labor Law, and premises liability matters.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motions, court appearances, and mediations.
• Conduct client meetings and provide regular updates on case status.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Actively market the firm to new and potential clients through direct contact.
• Engage in research, case preparation, and drafting legal documents.
• Represent clients in court and other legal proceedings.

Requirements:

• 3-8 years of litigation experience.
• Experience defending construction, NY Labor Law, and premises liability matters.
• Proven case management experience, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and court appearances.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent writing, research, and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Interest in actively marketing the firm and its services to new clients.
• New York Bar admission required.
• New Jersey Bar admission is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as required by the role.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• New York Bar admission required.
• New Jersey Bar admission is a plus.
