Job Overview:

The Appellate Law Attorney will provide comprehensive legal counsel and representation in appellate matters, ensuring effective advocacy on behalf of clients. They will demonstrate proficiency in legal research, writing, and oral argumentation while maintaining a client-centered approach and upholding the highest ethical standards.

Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support appellate briefs and arguments.
  • Draft persuasive appellate briefs, motions, and petitions for review.
  • Prepare for and participate in oral arguments before appellate courts.
  • Collaborate with trial attorneys to identify and preserve appellate issues during trial proceedings.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients regarding potential appeals and post-trial remedies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of appellate law and procedure.

Requirements:

  • 5-15 years of experience in appellate advocacy.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to craft compelling legal arguments.
  • Business and entrepreneurial sense to identify opportunities and navigate complex legal issues.
  • Proactive approach with excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and client service.
  • Ability to manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
