Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney for their Torrance, CA, office.

Job Overview:

The Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney will handle complex matters, including commercial litigation, class actions, franchise litigation, and other related cases. They will play a key role in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, representing clients in court proceedings, and providing strategic counsel to the firm's clients.

Duties:

• Drafting and arguing complex motions in court
• Propounding and responding to discovery requests
• Taking and defending depositions
• Assisting in both jury trials and bench trials
• Conducting legal research and analysis
• Providing strategic counsel to clients
• Managing case files and documents efficiently
• Collaborating with other attorneys and legal staff

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of meaningful experience in commercial litigation, class actions, franchise litigation, or other complex litigation matters in a mid-size or large law firm setting
• Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills
• Strong academic credentials
• Admission to and in good standing with the California Bar
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the California Bar
