Litigation Of Counsel

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Of Counsel to support its litigation team, particularly in pharmaceutical and medical device cases. This role emphasizes legal writing excellence, especially in Rule 702 and Daubert motions practice. Candidates must demonstrate a high level of independence, judgment, and collaborative ability. 

Location:

• Chicago, IL

Duties:

• Draft and review discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda

• Collaborate with and manage junior attorneys

• Work directly with clients and external experts

• Participate in fact development and depositions

• Develop and execute case strategies

• Focus on Daubert / Rule 702 motion practice in the pharmaceutical/medical device sector

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years’ litigation experience

• Prior experience at an AmLaw 100 firm preferred

• Demonstrated expertise in Rule 702 and Daubert brief writing

• Substantial experience in products liability litigation

• Familiarity with pharmaceutical and medical device cases is a strong plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD)

• Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction of the position

• Admission in New York preferred
