Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate Closing Attorney in Charleston, SC to join a well-established team. The ideal candidate will be a member in good standing of the South Carolina Bar and preferably have experience in closing real estate transactions.

Duties

  • Oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales and refinances.
  • Review title documents.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate transactions.
  • Draft and review loan documents, contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Provide a professional and engaging client experience, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Review disbursement ledger and sign checks.
  • Develop and grow business relationships for the firm.
  • Conduct training for potential clients in real estate law.

Requirements

  • Residential real estate experience preferred; training available for the right candidate.
  • Member of the South Carolina State Bar in good standing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well with others.
  • Self-starter capable of community involvement and achieving results.
  • Growth-minded with a focus on residential real estate.
  • Strong work ethic demonstrated in academics and work history.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
