A law firm based in Leesburg, VA, seeks an Associate Family Law Attorney with litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills and emotional intelligence to manage both the legal and emotional needs of family law clients.

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation and counsel to clients in various family law matters.
  • Handle a diverse caseload, including divorce, adoption, custody & visitation, mediation, estate planning, and child & spousal support cases.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare for court appearances.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediation sessions, and negotiations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the legal process.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Virginia State Bar.
  • 3-5 years of experience practicing family law and litigation.
  • Experience handling various family law cases, including divorce, adoption, custody & visitation, mediation, estate planning, and child & spousal support.
  • Admission to the Maryland State Bar (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality service to clients.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Virginia State Bar.
  • Admission to the Maryland State Bar (preferred but not required).

Skills:
