Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Transactional Regulatory Associate with 3 to 6 years of experience to join their growing energy team within the Corporate Practice Group. This position, based in Washington, will support a broad range of transactional and regulatory matters for clients in the energy sector.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate project contracts.
  • Conduct due diligence for energy sector clients.
  • Prepare and support regulatory filings and compliance.
  • Advise on power purchase agreements and interconnection agreements.
  • Assist with project finance and M&A transactions involving energy assets.

Requirements

  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and client communication skills.
  • Prior Am Law 100 law firm experience preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in the jurisdiction of resident office location.

Skills

  • Contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Regulatory compliance and filings.
  • Client advisory on energy sector matters.
