Job Overview

A well-established plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to lead a high-volume docket of negligence-based personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will bring first-chair trial experience and a strong command of litigation strategy to effectively advocate for clients in auto accident, slip and fall, and other personal injury matters.

Location

• Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Duties

• Manage a caseload of active litigation files from inception through trial

• Conduct case investigations, including collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses

• Draft and prepare legal pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and settlement documents

• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel

• Serve as lead trial counsel in jury trials

• Formulate trial strategy and handle all courtroom advocacy

• Collaborate with expert witnesses and litigation support staff

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in personal injury law

• First-chair jury trial experience is required

• Strong command of Florida personal injury law and civil procedure

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation caseload

• Proven track record of negotiating favorable settlements

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar
