Job Title: Business Immigration Attorney

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm in Boston, MA, is actively seeking a skilled Business Immigration Attorney to manage the preparation and filing of employment-based immigration cases. Duties:

  • Prepare legal strategies, case documentation, and cover letters for employment-based immigration petitions.
  • Gain an expert-level understanding of client cases, preparing non-immigrant and immigrant petitions for visa types such as EB1, EB2-NIW, PERM, I-485, L-1, H1B, O-1, and more.
  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and document revisions with precision and efficiency.
  • Communicate legal terminology and case updates to clients promptly.
  • Conduct research on unique legal matters by referencing applicable statutes and judicial decisions.
  • Stay current with legislative changes that impact immigration law and case processing.
  • Provide training to clients and internal teams on substantive legal topics and new immigration regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve client issues and ensure project success.
  • Regularly communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding case processing and strategy.
  • Assess the eligibility of foreign national employees for various visa statuses.
  • Work closely with global mobility personnel and general counsel to submit petitions and applications to the Department of Labor (DOL) and USCIS.
  • Supervise paralegal staff in document preparation and record-keeping to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Active admission to a U.S. State Bar in good standing.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability to work across different practice areas and learn new concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing daily tasks.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in a U.S. State Bar.

Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of immigration law, specifically employment-based visa processes.
  • High-level organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in managing legal documents and case files.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
