Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid to senior level attorney to join its Employee Benefits law practice in Seattle, WA. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated lawyer to develop a comprehensive practice in a supportive environment. Candidates with strong client relationship skills and a proactive approach are encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Advise on private, tax-exempt, and public retirement plans, including 401(k), 403(b), and 457(b) plans.
  • Provide M&A benefits support and counsel on 409A and executive compensation.
  • Manage health and welfare plans, ensuring compliance with ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
  • Engage in ERISA litigation and related legal matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years' experience in employee benefits law.
  • Proven ability to handle legal matters independently.
  • Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience in a law firm setting preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
