Project Finance Associate - Renewable Energy

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a senior associate to join its project finance team in Portland, OR. The role involves debt and tax equity financings for renewable energy assets, including solar, wind, and storage. Candidates interested in the Seattle office are also considered.

Duties

• Structure, negotiate, and close construction and term debt facilities and tax credit monetization transactions.
• Draft and negotiate various financing and partnership agreements.
• Manage due diligence and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Lead and execute financing transactions, acquisitions, and joint ventures.

Requirements

• JD and active bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in debt and tax equity project finance and M&A.
• Proven ability to manage transactions independently.
• Strong grasp of tax equity structures and partnership tax concepts.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
