Duties:

  • Manage and represent clients in various immigration matters, including family-based petitions, employment-based visas, naturalization, asylum, and removal defense.
  • Conduct consultations with clients to assess eligibility for immigration benefits and provide legal advice accordingly.
  • Prepare and file immigration applications, petitions, motions, and briefs with USCIS, EOIR, and other relevant agencies.
  • Represent clients in immigration interviews, hearings, and proceedings before immigration courts and administrative bodies.
  • Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and precedents to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation, ensuring ethical and professional standards compliance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to manage caseload and meet deadlines efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in Florida and in good standing.
  • Experience practicing immigration law.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client advocacy and satisfaction.
  • Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish) is preferred but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state Bar in Florida and in good standing.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
