Duties

  • Manage complex family law cases with minimal supervision, including high-asset divorce and custody matters.
  • Provide legal counsel and represent clients in court, focusing on clear communication and effective advocacy.
  • Draft, review, and present legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Work independently or collaborate with team members, including paralegals, legal assistants, and other staff.
  • Lead negotiations to resolve cases by settlement or trial.
  • Ensure clients are fully informed and understand the legal process and their options.
  • Supervise and coordinate with staff to ensure all aspects of case management are handled efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of professional integrity and ethics.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed to practice law in California.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience litigating family law cases.
  • Proven ability to handle high-asset, complex family law matters.
  • Strong courtroom presence and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with a team.
  • High level of professionalism and ethics.
  • Ability to synthesize complex legal issues and present them clearly to clients.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Certified Family Law Specialist (preferred) or eligibility to obtain certification.
