The role involves working closely with trusts and estate attorneys and taking direct responsibility for significant and complex client matters. Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with trusts and estate attorneys to work on complex trust and estate planning matters.
  • Take direct responsibility for significant and complex client matters, offering legal counsel and guidance.
  • Provide advice on wealth transfer tax planning, business succession planning, and trusts & estates litigation.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and communicate with clients to address their estate planning needs.
  • Work as part of a team to manage caseloads effectively and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Assume individual responsibility for client matters involving direct client interaction.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of legal documents and plans.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience working with clients on complex trust and estate planning.
  • Strong writing credentials.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Current license to practice law in Virginia.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
