Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Bilingual (Spanish) Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a dynamic group of attorneys, handling personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal injury or civil litigation and possess the ability to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking clients.

Location:

• New Orleans, LA

Duties:

• Represent clients in personal injury cases from start to finish, including intake, settlement, and trial.

• Communicate with clients and provide updates on case progress.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Conduct legal research and draft motions and responses.

• Lead mediations and develop case strategies.

• Handle all aspects of litigation, including preparing documents and managing cases.

• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation.

• Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.

• Experience drafting and responding to motions.

• Strong knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.

• Fluency in Spanish is required to effectively communicate with clients.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership with the Louisiana State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong litigation, negotiation, and case management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.

• Experience with client communication and managing case progress.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
