A law firm seeks an entry-level tax associate to join its Tax and Wealth Planning Group in Macon, Georgia. The successful candidate will counsel clients across the Southeastern United States, focusing on the acquisition, preservation, management, and transfer of property. This role involves a hands-on approach to client relationships, aiming for pragmatic and cost-effective solutions.

Duties

• Advise clients on tax and wealth planning strategies.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Draft and review legal documents related to tax law.
• Collaborate with team members to develop client strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

• 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong academic record with a focus on tax law.
• Proficiency in tax research tools and resources.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Admitted to the Georgia Bar and in good standing or admitted to another state's bar and willing to complete the Georgia Bar's admission process.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to the Bar in Georgia or another state.
