Job Overview:
A law firm located in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a litigation associate attorney to handle a diverse portfolio of cases in a dynamic legal setting. Candidates must be prepared to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and contribute to a fast-paced team environment.

Duties:

• Represent clients in a variety of civil litigation matters

• Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and discovery documents

• Prepare cases for trial, including trial strategy and first-chair responsibilities

• Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials in both district and circuit courts

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members effectively

• Manage a full litigation caseload from initiation through resolution

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience

• Active license to practice law in Maryland

• First-chair trial experience in district and/or circuit court

• Ability to manage complex case files independently

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Maryland State Bar

• Additional admission to the District of Columbia Bar is a plus

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills

• Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presentation

• Effective time management and organizational abilities

• Adaptable in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting

• Proficient in litigation software and case management tools
