A law firm based in West Palm Beach is currently seeking a Patent Agent specialized in Immunology/Virology. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology and have at least 3 years of experience in prosecuting patents in the immunology and molecular biology therapeutic space.

 

Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in the fields of immunotherapy, gene therapy, cell therapy, and related areas
  • Respond to office actions from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
  • Assist in the preparation of legal opinions related to patents
  • Conduct prior art searches to assess patentability and infringement issues
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to strategize patent prosecution efforts
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends in immunology and virology

 

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Admission to practice before the USPTO
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience prosecuting patents in immunology and molecular biology therapeutic space
