Job Title: General Liability Partner

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Iselin, NJ, is seeking a seasoned litigation attorney with a strong background in general liability defense. This role is ideal for a professional with significant experience handling complex litigation matters, including commercial motor vehicle claims, premises liability, construction incidents, and product-related disputes. The position offers the potential for long-term leadership opportunities and may include remote work flexibility based on experience and fit.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload involving general liability defense matters

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, court conferences, and trial

• Provide strategic legal counsel on issues involving UM/UIM, product liability, and construction-related claims

• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure case progress and compliance with procedural rules

• Attend mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings, both in person and virtually

• Review and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements

• Maintain accurate case records and meet internal deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience with a focus on general liability or insurance defense

• Licensed and in good standing with the New Jersey Bar

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team

• Strong analytical, organizational, and written/oral communication skills

• Experience handling trials or substantial courtroom appearances preferred

• Existing client work or portable book of business is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey

• Additional certifications or Bar admissions in neighboring states are advantageous
