Job Overview

A well-established defense litigation law firm in Colorado is seeking a Construction Litigation Associate Attorney to join its construction defect practice group. This position offers a hands-on experience where attorneys manage their own cases with mentorship and guidance from experienced partners. Location

Duties

  • Manage assigned construction litigation cases from inception to resolution

  • Take depositions and attend mediations

  • Evaluate cases and develop legal strategies

  • Work closely with experts to build case arguments

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents

  • Attend hearings and trials

  • Interact with clients and provide legal counsel

  • Collaborate with partners, associates, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado

  • In good standing with all relevant bar associations

  • Current residency in Colorado or plans to relocate

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective research skills utilizing Westlaw and other legal resources

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently

  • Proactive approach to legal practice and case management

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active Colorado State Bar membership
