A law firm specializing in litigation is seeking a dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney focusing on the gaming industry. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience representing clients in various facets of the gaming sector, including casino gaming, sports betting, gaming, and fantasy sports. Experience in gaming regulatory matters is highly desirable, with additional preference given to those with experience in tribal gaming. The successful candidate will be proficient in drafting and arguing discovery motions and taking and defending depositions. Strong oral and written advocacy skills and exceptional academic credentials are essential. The Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing cases independently and will be admitted to practice in Texas.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in litigation matters related to the gaming industry, including casino gaming, sports betting, gaming, and fantasy sports.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and argue discovery motions.
  • Take and defend depositions as required.
  • Manage cases independently, ensuring efficient case progression and adherence to deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience representing clients in the gaming industry within a mid-size to large law firm setting.
  • Proficiency in gaming regulatory matters, with a preference for experience in tribal gaming.
  • Strong academic credentials, including a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Texas.
