A law firm seeks a mid-level Intellectual Property and Litigation Associate in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will focus on anti-counterfeiting and trademark and copyright infringement matters, managing a docket of cases in both federal and state courts.

Duties

• Manage day-to-day case docket involving trademark, copyright, and trade dress infringement claims.
• Analyze evidentiary materials to develop case strategies from pre-suit investigations to resolution.
• Draft legal pleadings, including complaints and various motions.
• Oversee discovery processes and participate in court conferences.
• Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and draft trial-related documents.
• Draft cease and desist letters and settlement agreements.
• Engage in administrative proceedings before the TTAB and civil seizure of counterfeit merchandise.
• Assist with online and administrative trademark and copyright enforcement efforts.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel if necessary.
• Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and SDNY and EDNY courts.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• New York State Bar admission.
