Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified associate with a minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation to join the transactional side of their practice in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have expertise in copyright, IP licensing, tech transactions, or entertainment deals.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts related to copyright and IP licensing.
  • Provide strategic counseling on copyright matters to a diverse client base.
  • Assist in developing compliance strategies with copyright laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients in the music, entertainment, and content industries.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Familiarity with music, entertainment, and/or content industries preferred.
  • Experience in copyright, IP licensing, tech transactions, or entertainment deals.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in the state of New York.
