A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Miami, FL. Below is a detailed job description:

Job Overview:

The Litigation Associate Attorney will provide legal counsel to clients regarding litigation risks, draft legal documents, conduct legal research, and represent clients in hearings and mediations. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Duties:

  • Provide client communication and advice on litigation risks, legal rights, and obligations.
  • Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments for case presentations.
  • Draft legal documents and perform legal review and analysis.
  • Research legal issues related to corporate law, commercial contracts, etc.
  • Prepare for and attend mediations and hearings as required.
  • Interact with clients and resolve problems related to case hearings.
  • Integrate best practices in client handling and case management.
  • Prepare discovery materials promptly and respond to discovery requests.
  • Develop new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
  • Meet designated minimum billable time requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of litigation experience in general liability defense, insurance defense, first-party property defense, and commercial litigation.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited university.
  • Admission to practice law and in good standing with the Bar of the State of Florida.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Westlaw, and time-billing software.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited university.
  • Admission to practice law in the State of Florida.
