Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Patent Agent or Technical Advisor to join the Patent Prosecution and Litigation Practice Group on the Software and Electrical Engineering Team in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent preparation and prosecution, particularly in the areas of 5G, 6G, and 3GPP standards, memory devices, and semiconductor devices.

Duties

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications in electrical engineering and software.
• Collaborate with team members to develop patent strategies.
• Conduct technical research to support patent applications.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
• Experience with 5G, 6G, 3GPP standards, memory devices, or semiconductors preferred.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Education

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
