Job Overview:

A prominent law firm in Troy, MI is seeking highly motivated litigation attorneys to join its team. This position involves handling a diverse range of litigation matters, including auto-related cases (first and third-party), premises liability, and general liability. Attorneys with varying levels of experience are encouraged to apply, particularly those with 2-10 years of experience or more than ten years of experience.

Duties:

• Manage a wide variety of litigation cases, including auto liability, premises liability, and general liability matters.
• Represent clients through all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation strategies to trial.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Engage in negotiations, settlement discussions, and court appearances.
• Collaborate with colleagues and legal teams to develop case strategies and approaches.
• Provide regular updates and communications with clients regarding case progress.
• Analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, concise advice to clients.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions, trials, mediations, and arbitrations.

Requirements:

• 2-10 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on auto and general liability cases.
• Familiarity with Michigan state and federal courts, procedures, and litigation practices.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to handle cases independently or with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• An active member of the Michigan Bar in good standing.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the state of Michigan.
