Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Litigation Associate Attorney in Glendale, CA. The successful candidate will litigate cases from inception through resolution, negotiate settlements, and handle all aspects of litigation, including trials.

Duties

  • Negotiate pre-litigation and litigation settlements.
  • Litigate personal injury cases from filing to resolution.
  • Draft and propound discovery.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Draft pleadings and law and motion.
  • Appear in court.
  • Conduct legal writing and research.
  • Provide customer service to clients.
  • Prepare pre-trial motions and chair trials.
  • Review cases for settlement and draft demands.
  • Correspond with insurance companies and defense counsel.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of personal injury case handling experience.
  • Licensed by the State Bar of California, in good standing.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Understanding of CA civil procedure for State Court cases.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or Armenian is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Effective communication and client service abilities.
  • Ability to manage cases independently.
