A law firm seeks an experienced Trial Attorney to join its personal injury team in Huntsville, AL. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere in Alabama. The successful candidate will represent clients across the state, requiring an active Alabama Bar license in good standing. The role involves managing cases from filing through trial, with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for clients.

Duties

  • Represent clients in personal injury cases from initial litigation through settlement or verdict.
  • Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Handle mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings, including jury selection and examinations.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and litigation support staff for comprehensive case preparation.

Requirements

  • Active membership in the Alabama Bar, in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation/trial experience in personal injury or related areas.
  • Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Alabama Bar license.

Skills

  • Proven litigation and trial experience.
  • Strong client service orientation.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently.
