Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney who is an active member of the State Bar of California in good standing, with 1-3 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team of attorneys. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, the capability to negotiate effectively, conduct legal research and writing, and make both in-person and remote appearances for court hearings and/or depositions. The Litigation Associate Attorney must demonstrate adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. Trial experience is highly preferred for this role.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and writing to support litigation proceedings.
• Draft law and motion documents with precision and clarity.
• Negotiate on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Make appearances for court hearings and/or depositions, both in person and remotely.
• Work independently and collaboratively with a team of attorneys to strategize and execute case plans.
• Maintain organized case files and adhere to deadlines for filings and submissions.

Requirements:

• Active Member of the State Bar of California in good standing.
• 1-3 years of litigation experience.
• Ability to work independently and with a team of attorneys.
• Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Adaptability and attention to detail.
• Trial experience is highly preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
