1st Party Litigator

A law firm in Ocala is seeking a 1st Party Litigator. The litigator will manage a significant caseload from inception to post-trial, attending hearings, depositions, and trials. They will prepare litigation documents, maintain client communication, and meet monthly billing requirements.

Duties:

• Manage a significant caseload from inception to post-trial
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
• Prepare pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents
• Provide timely reports to insurance carriers and clients regarding case status
• Develop client relationships through various methods
• Travel to various courthouses and locations as required
• Meet monthly billing requirements
• Maintain a professional setting in the office
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in first-party property claims and/or PIP litigation
• Handle all phases of litigation from pleadings through trial
• Take and defend depositions
• Possess strong oral advocacy and excellent writing skills
• Evaluate cases effectively
• Maintain Good Standing Membership with the Florida Bar
• Utilize Microsoft Office products and process management systems confidently
• Embrace technology and automation in daily tasks

Requirements:

1-3+ years of first-party property or PIP defense litigation experience

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Good Standing Membership with the Florida Bar
