A law firm based in Fort Wayne, IN, is seeking a skilled Litigation Family Law Attorney to manage family law cases proactively from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation with specific experience in family law, demonstrating a commitment to providing superior client service and maintaining high-performance metrics. This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple cases efficiently while adapting to new technologies and software used in modern legal practices.

Duties:

  • Proactively manage a caseload of family law matters from beginning to end.
  • Provide superior customer service, including delivering monthly status reports and conducting weekly reviews of cases to clients.
  • Work closely with practice managers to recommend improvements in case handling and management.
  • Utilize practice quality software to manage performance metrics and track accomplishments and client satisfaction.
  • Engage in all aspects of litigation, including preparation, trials, mediations, and other necessary legal proceedings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations about family law in Indiana.
  • Handle case tasks, including drafting pleadings, motions, agreements, and orders and conducting discovery and legal research.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited university.
  • Must have passed the Bar Exam on the first attempt.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana.
  • 2-5 years of litigation experience, with specific 1st chair family law experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technical programs and software pertinent to legal practice.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle a high caseload efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client relationships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar license in the state of Indiana.
