Senior Associate or Partner - General Liability

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate or Partner to join the General Liability practice group in Philadelphia, PA, with remote flexibility from Pennsylvania. The role involves managing a variety of general liability defense litigation matters within the state.

Duties

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues to prepare well-reasoned legal recommendations.
• Draft pleadings, answer written discovery, and conduct depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
• Travel locally for trials and court conferences as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience, preferably in defense litigation.
• Active PA bar license required.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel within PA for court appearances.
• Flexibility to work remotely from PA with occasional travel to Philadelphia office.
• Experience in drafting pleadings, answering discovery, and conducting trials.
• Interest in liability defense, with preference for experience in motor vehicle or premises liability.
• For partner candidates, strong trial experience is preferred.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active PA bar license.
