Associate Attorney needed for Houston office

A law firm in Houston is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team of workers’ compensation defense. The candidate will be responsible for participating in administrative hearings, depositions, and trials. Strong writing skills are essential for this role.

Duties:

• Participate in administrative hearings, depositions, and trials
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties
• Assist with case strategy development
• Manage case files and ensure deadlines are met
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters
• Provide support in various practice areas as needed

Requirements:

• Currently licensed to practice law in at least one state
• In good standing with the State Bar association
• Strong writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Prior experience in litigation is preferred

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in at least one jurisdiction
