A law firm seeks a Business And Construction Litigation Attorney for their Maitland, FL, location.

Job Overview:

The Business And Construction Litigation Attorney will counsel existing clients, conduct legal research, draft documents and pleadings, represent clients in court, and assist with trial and deposition preparation.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to existing clients.
  • Conducted legal research drafted documents, and pleadings.
  • Consult with clients and experts.
  • Draft and respond to discovery.
  • Represent clients in court, depositions, and mediation.
  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, lien-related documents, and settlement agreements.
  • Take fact and expert depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Analyze facts of the case, conflicts in legal matters, and develop litigation strategy.
  • Advise clients on solutions and negotiate on their behalf.
  • Communicate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients.
  • Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information is available.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in business and construction litigation matters.
  • 5 years of intense, relevant, verifiable experience in a similar role.
  • Florida Bar Admission.
  • Judicial clerkship experience or demonstrate vital research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
