Duties:

  • Manage a diverse personal injury litigation docket across various stages

  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests/responses

  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert consultants

  • Represent clients in mediations, pre-trial proceedings, and jury trials

  • Engage in strategic planning for each case, including evidence gathering and client interviews

  • Negotiate settlements with insurance representatives and opposing counsel

  • Collaborate with internal legal support staff, investigators, and case managers

  • Oversee select pre-litigation matters as needed

  • Maintain accurate documentation and detailed case files

  • Stay informed about relevant changes in personal injury law and civil procedure

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Ohio

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience handling personal injury cases in litigation

  • Demonstrated ability to manage pleadings, motion practice, and courtroom procedures

  • Experience with either the plaintiff or defense side of personal injury law (2–5 years preferred)

  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Strong legal writing, analysis, and oral advocacy skills

  • Comfortable managing case timelines and court deadlines

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
