Job Overview:
A well-established regional law firm in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tort litigation, including experience with depositions, arbitration, mediation, and ideally, jury trials. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to take responsibility for meaningful legal work and contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Location:

  • Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

  • Handle insurance defense litigation from inception through resolution

  • Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

  • Engage with clients to assess legal needs and provide sound counsel

  • Perform legal research and develop case strategies

  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to resolve complex legal matters

  • Maintain accuracy and organization across a high volume of active files

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (required)

  • Licensure in West Virginia, New Jersey, New York, or Delaware (preferred)

  • Experience in tort litigation, including depositions and oral argument

  • Ability to manage multiple active matters independently

  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced legal environment

  • Demonstrated professionalism and adherence to high ethical standards

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania

  • Additional state bar admissions are a plus

Skills:

  • Litigation and courtroom advocacy experience

  • Proficient legal research and writing abilities

  • Strong case management and analytical skills

  • Effective collaboration with legal teams and clients

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure
